Supporting a Child with Behavioral Issues: Impact on Your Mental Health

Parenting a child with behavioral challenges, like defiance, hyperactivity, or emotional outbursts, can strain a parent’s mental health. How do you cope with the stress, guilt, or exhaustion that comes with supporting a child with these issues? Have therapy, support groups, or other resources helped?
 
Supporting a child with behavioral issues can be emotionally draining. You might feel frustrated, helpless, or even guilty at times. But when you seek support, stay patient, and remind yourself you’re doing your best, it helps protect your mental health.
 
I have two kids and as far as I can tell none of them have any visible behavioral issues. However, this does not mean they will not develop any issues later on. A a parent, the most important thing to do is watch your kids react to situations, events, and people so that you can spot issues early on
