Alcohol ruins lives

The reason why I said lives is because it is not just that alcohol ruins a life of a person who is drinking but also a life of people around him. Maybe he has a family, maybe he is aggressive when he drinks and so on. All of this affects others and that's why alcoholism is a huge problem of modern society. Not the biggest one, but a very important one.

Do you know somebody who is alcoholic or have you been one and how you got sober?

Alcohol does not just ruin the life of alcoholic but destroys the lives of his family (spouse and kids). I have seen this happen to my uncles and their families. Most of the time alcoholism is also a result of mental diseases like depression, stress and anxiety.

Alcoholism is one addiction that is very terrible. It destroys the liver and the kidney of an addicted drunk. If they need surgery at any point of their lives, they can't immediately have it because of the complexities that alcohol has caused to their system. It is one addiction that is a silent killer.
