Brand Name: Anafranil

Generic Name: Clomipramine

Primary Use: Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD)

Dosage Forms:

Oral capsules of 25mg, 50mg and 75mg

Common Side Effects:
  • Altered voice, auditory changes, blurred vision
  • Fatigue
  • Chest tightness
  • Painful bladder, cloudy or bloody urine
  • Sneezing
  • Poor concentration, confusion, anxiety
  • Body aches, fever
  • Hyperesthesia
  • Hives or rashes

More than 10 weeks efficacy has not been systematically established for Anafranil hence, doctor’s advice is necessary for longer use.
