Are Modern Diets Ignoring Mental Nutrition?

We count calories but rarely think about foods that nourish the brain and emotional health. Should mental wellness guide what we eat more than physical appearance?

From eating natural foods, we have no moved towards eating processed and ultra processed foods. These foods do not have any nutritional value, they only have loaded sugar (also salt) and a lot of calories. Sugar is not a good food for brain. It might give you instant energy and make you active, but in the long run sugar will not only affect insulin sensitivity but also cognitive behavior.

Everybody just wants to be fit now and because of that they are busy counting their calories up and down, but no one is taking about the brain food. Back then, we eat beans, vegetables, and palm oil stew which are very good for sound mind. These days it’s just fast food and energy drinks. People are looking fresh outside but they are mentally exhausted. These are serious issues because mental health needs proper food too. It's not only gym we would be pursuing.
