Are you afraid of trying new medications?

I know I am.
I am always weary of trying a new script written by my doctor, I have filled many of them while they still sit in my med drawer, unopened.
I recently had pneumonia twice, second time around, the Urgent Care doc insisted on a different, brand new antibiotic.
I was SO AFRAID to start it. (I am sensitive to anything new, and allergic to many things.) But this time, I gave in.
Pneumonia for the second time was nothing I wanted to mess with. Luckily, no side effects, and it kicked pneumonia’s butt by the second day.

Are you afraid to try new meds? Are you worried about side effects or possible worsening of your symptoms? Has your mind ever “created” side effects right after swallowing the pill just to scare you?

I don't take drugs except when am seriously sick. I hardly take medication because am afraid of getting adverse reaction from some medications! My experience with sulphur is life threatening and have to be extremely careful.

Nope, I have never been afraid of such. This is why I get my prescription from a doctor. So that I don't get to doubt anything given by them

I’m never afraid of trying new medication. I respect the significance of medical supervision because medication works differently for each individual person. I talk with my doctor extensively about it and it puts my worries to rest.
