Carnivore Diet and/or Organic Eating to help Mental Illness?

Could it be that modern day highly-processed foods are contributing to the rise in mental illness we are seeing today?

Have you found a certain way of eating that actually improves your symptoms?
SO MUCH research is going into this as we speak. Seed oils, preservatives, additives, ingredients on the backs of frozen meal boxes that can’t even be pronounced.. it is said all of the following causes potential brain inflammation, and any kind of brain inflammation can lead to psychiatric symptoms.

The carnivore diet eliminates plant-based foods. The argument is plant based diet has inflammatory triggers, thus, when you remove plants, your mood might improves mood. These days plants also contain pesticides. Meat contain less harmful chemicals.Organic eating minimizes pesticide exposure, supporting brain health. While anecdotal evidence exists, scientific research is limited. A nutrient-dense, balanced diet, including omega-3s and antioxidants, generally supports mental well-being better than extreme dietary restrictions.

I like to go for anything not in a package, without ingredients or additives.
Like a potato is a potato. A banana is a banana. A steak is steak (beef). Butter is butter. You can’t go wrong.
As for the veg, I don’t know, I just heard to cook them for a long time. Still a heck of a lot better than packaged anything, right? :)

Best food is something you cook, and the worst food is something that is packaged and ready to eat. Vegetables contain a lot of dietary fiber and antioxidants so I think they are better than packaged meat products

I’ve been making salads with either steak or chicken on top, and I’ve just ordered 2 different organic salad dressings online without seed oils.
It really does make a difference. 100% agree with you.

Highly processed foods may fuel mental illness; a clean, whole-food diet can improve symptoms significantly.

Since we exist in an ecosystem, whether you are a veg or a non-veg may matter very little in terms of what harmful chemicals, pesticides and the likes that we consume. Inevitably, we are all subjected to some level of adulteration. However, it still makes a huge difference if we eat from our own kitchen garden. This obviously may not be possible for everyone and for every ingredient that we consume.

With rising levels of food demand, many ill-healthy ways have been employed to raise animals and birds quickly to match the demand. Recall that, many farmers also use harmful substances to increase yields. Animals fed on such diet doubles the harmful effect to humans who consume them. Therefore, veg diet may still relatively be our safer and healthier bet.

There is a theory that plant foods, because they cannot run away or protect themselves from something or someone eating them, have their own built-in defense mechanisms that could also be harmful to consume. This traces back to how our grandmothers and great grandmothers instinctively knew to cook vegetables for over an hour, and then recook them for even longer, before serving.
So if we look further into this theory, it would be best to stay away from raw vegetables, particularly the seeds which would be most protected by the plant itself, because just like animals/humans, the goal is to continue reproducing and thriving.
Just as we always protect babies the most, it’s not so much that they are helpless, which is still a part of it, it’s also because we know they are the future of our species.
