Healthcare workers face burnout from emotional and physical demands. Self-care, peer support, and time off are vital. Recognize signs early to prevent escalation. What burnout prevention strategies work for you in high-pressure jobs?

Coping with burnout in healthcare requires both personal strategies and systemic support. From what I’ve seen, taking regular breaks help on an individual level. Peer support is also vital, talking openly with colleagues reduces the feeling of isolation. Some hospitals introduce wellness programs or flexible scheduling to ease pressure. For example, a nurse I know switched to shorter shifts, which improved her energy and job satisfaction. While self-care helps, real change often comes when healthcare systems address workload, staffing, and emotional support.
