Do you eat more when you're angry?

I found out that our body changes whenever our mood isn't right. It's very common with me to feel unnecessarily hungry and eat uncontrollably whenever I'm having a mood swing.

Does this happen to anyone? How's your hunger levels whenever your mood swings?

I totally get it! When I’m feeling sad or stressed, I get really hungry and end up eating a lot without thinking. It’s crazy how our feelings can affect our appetite.

On the contrary, I don't even eat anything when I am very angry. The urge for food would just disappear completely. And if it degenerates into depression, it is certain that I won't be able to eat for as long as that depression continues.

I have some strange eating habits that are, at least in my opinion, massively linked to my emotions.

Ever since childhood I've been somewhat overweight, and not necessarily always due to over-eating, a lot of the problem does seem to be genetic. I've yo-yo'ed in weight many times in my life, at one point getting to the stage where I was medically considered "morbidly obese" and struggled to walk... nowadays, I would likely still be considered "obese", but am worlds away from how I was before - I am relatively fit, partake in a lot of high-intensity sport and frankly I think surprise a lot of people who would probably take a first glance at me and think I'd be useless at anything sporty :)

No I don't want to teach myself such. When I'm angry I just try to calm my self down..it helps. me snapped out easily

I used to respond to anger by eating much more than usual. However, I’ve come to realize that this isn’t a healthy way to cope, so I’ve worked on avoiding overeating during those times.

When I was in my teens, I had this habit. I ate a lot when I was angry. However, these days I don't have that habit, instead of over eating, I like to eat as a therapy. When I am stressed out or depressed, I cook and eat and it makes me feel relaxed and calm.
