When we are feeling depressed, it can sometimes be difficult to know what to do to help lift our mood and help us feel a little better than we already do. There are many things from doing something you enjoy to watching something you enjoy and even walking can help with depression and help us clear our heads and feel better.

Are you someone that has tried going for a walk when you are feeling depressed? Have you felt it's helped you when you are feeling like you are and do you find you go for more walks now when you are feeling depressed because it helps?

I know when I am feeling depressed just getting out of the house for even 30 minutes helps a lot more than staying in the house so whenever I am feeling depressed I will just go out to the store for something I need or just go for a walk.

Well, though I haven't tried that for depression but I know it would help. This is an exercise so it would help one to relieved pressure

It helped my father. Studies show that walking will release happy hormone and it does wonder to depressed people who are always overcome with eternal sadness.

Yes, walking helps clear my mind, reduces stress, and boosts my mood through fresh air.

It helped me when I was going through a very difficult moment. I always had to take a walk, and I always felt better at the end of the day. I know it is something that has worked so well, and I would resort to that most of the time.

Going on a walk by myself won't help me with depression. It would make it worse. That's because I am always processing thoughts when I walk. The best thing that can tone down the level of depression if I am depressed is sleep.

Yes, I find going for a walk incredibly helpful for depression. Walking, especially outdoors, provides fresh air, sunlight, and movement, all of which boost mood. It also encourages mindfulness and reduces stress. Even a short walk can make a difference in clearing the mind and improving well-being.
