Do you find sleeping helps with stress?

So many people I have spoken to in the past have often told me that when they feel so stressed it can be overwhelming, sleeping helps them a lot and they often sleep more than they probably should because of stress. I myself can relate to this as I go through a lot of stress and have been known to shut off at times when stress has been really bad in hopes that it helps me feel better.

Are you someone that goes through stress and finds sleep helps when you are stressed? Do you notice that you sleep more when you are stressed?

Well, sleep can be very effective in managing stress. Proper rest allows the body and mind to recover from the day's challenges, helping to reset emotional balance and restore physical health. Lack of sleep can make stress worse, increasing irritability and impairing the ability to cope with difficult situations. During sleep, the body lowers stress hormone levels, which helps reduce anxiety and enhances mood. Consistently good sleep habits, such as sticking to a routine, creating a calming bedtime environment, and practicing relaxation techniques before bed, can improve stress resilience over time.

I get what you mean! When I'm stressed, I often just want to sleep more. It feels like a good way to hide from everything. I've noticed that extra sleep helps me feel better and handle stress.

Yes in a lot of ways soetps help the to relax. With sleep you would be able to relax your nerves and you would be calm to think things through this way.

Sleep is one factor that would help to soothe both physical and mental stress. When you sleep, your body and mind calms down. And you wake up rejuvenated. I personally use sleep as the biggest remedy to stress.

I quite often find myself just heading off to bed for a few hours, sometimes even during the day, if I'm feeling particularly stressed or anxious about something. Oftentimes I won't actually even sleep necessarily, but I'll just lay and chill in bed for a few hours. Sometimes I nod off for a bit and get a few extra zzzzs in. I find it helps calm me down a lot. :)

While sleep may be crucial for rejuvenation of both mind and body, it appears to be a temporary measure. One can not go on sleeping in order to avoid or combat stress. The best way would be taking the bull by its horn- that is, looking for the solution of the problem that is causing the stress.

I have been really stressed over the last couple of days due to work. And in the morning, I felt so light headed. I had to take out time to sleep. Wasn't too much sleep. Just an hour and thirty minutes sleep. And waking up, I feel far better. I would say that sleep is the best antidote for stress in my own opinion.
