Do you let your mood swings stay longer?

I bet no one will want to be in a situation where they experience mood swings for a very long period of time. We all want to be happy and have a good time with our loved ones. However,  when you begin to experience mood swings,  do you let it run its course, or do you find ways to end it as soon as you can?

I don't let my mood swings stay for a long time at all. Most of the time, I listen to music or watch some fun or feel-good movie to uplift my mood. I even start keeping myself busier doing some productive work to get rid of the mood swing.

Music has been said to be a remedy for those looking at cooling off their mood swings. I have began the act of listening to music too when I feel a different type of emotions that I am finding difficult to deal with and it has been of great help to me.

I don't think anyone would want to go through mood swings for an extended period of time. I believe everyone wants to get away from mood swings as soon as they realize what's happening to them. Activities like art, music, dance can help.

I don't have to because it would not help me in any way. it is always the best to stay happy no matter the situation

I hate it when I get mood swings as I feel as though I take it out on others without realizing it sometimes and that always makes me and the person I take it out on feel bad.

I do what I can to ensure that any mood swings I experience do not stick around for long, not only because of those around me but also because it makes me feel down and depressed when I have the mood swings.

You're absolutely right. No one enjoys prolonged mood swings. Personally, I try to identify the cause and practice mindfulness or engage in calming activities like listening to music or journaling. It helps me regain emotional balance and feel more in control.

I agree. I take a medication for my mood. I've been taking mood stabalizers since I was 15 years old. They work well for me. Therapy also worked for me in the past as it was apart of my treatment plans.

The mood swings are delicate, some can be controlled without medications where others require medications to even them out. It's not easy to deal with mood swings, but proper treatments do make it a lot easier to control.

What coping strategies, besides medication and therapy, have you found most helpful in managing mood swings over the years?

Sometimes, I struggle with my mood swings because of my health issues. It's a good thing that I live alone, so I don’t have to worry about how it affects other people. Still, I try to manage my feelings as best as possible.

It's good you have space to cope. Managing emotions is tough, but you're doing your best, and that truly matters.
