Does working from home relieve stress?

Have you purposely chosen a work from home job to help you manage your stress levels rather than working a 9-5 offline job?
Does choosing your own hours and being your own boss make you feel more capable of having an occupation without worrying about the pressures of, say, working in an office building with other colleagues?

For 9 to 5 jobs, you have to wake up very early in the morning to start preparing for work. Then, you might have to commute everyday to your workplace. That is premium stress if you ask me. Having to work from home on your own terms eases out all those stress.

Working from home can relieve stress for some people by offering a more comfortable and flexible environment. It eliminates commuting time, allows for a personalized workspace, and provides better work-life balance. However, it can also create challenges, like isolation or blurred boundaries between work and personal life, which might increase stress for others. It depends on how well you manage the work-from-home setup.

Working from home often reduces stress by cutting out commuting and offering more flexibility. Still, it may bring new challenges like feeling lonely, difficulty separating work from personal life, and home-based distractions. It varies per person.

I am someone who works from home, and my reason for doing so is because of a health condition that I have, which, when I get stressed out or anxious and panicked, flares up my symptoms, making the day pretty much unbearable.

Being able to be my own boss, eliminating the commute and the stress of being in busy, crowded places, means I can still work and not end up suffering.

I think that working from home allows you are be productive from your comfort zone. You would not be uncomfortable with work thinking that someone is watching you. I think you work with a freer mind when you work from home.

For me it does relieve some stress because I have a TBI and chronic pain so working from home is helpful on days where I'm in a lot of pain and I don't want to have to physically go anywhere. It's also good on days where I'm feeling a bit more sick or not 100%.

Though I still work hard and get my job done, it does give me more time before and after work as I'm not having to commute. The only downfall for working from home is that it can be easy to get distracted and it's easy to not want to always dress up when you're staying home.

I prefer working from home because I can't do the 9-5 thing anymore. I tried, and I hated it. I prefer working from home because it's a lot easier to handle the day to day stresses at home than at work. I used to work at a call center too as a support rep and I absolutely hated it. I worked from 8am and worked to around 5PM and every day was a pain. I don't know how anyone can handle such jobs. When I work from home, I have a lot more freedom and can work the hours I want.

While working from home can help reduce stress, this is not always the case, especially in situations where you do not stay alone. I mostly work from home and i can assure you that there are times where i get more stressed out working from home due to the fact that i have others living with me and they don't make things easy for me sometimes.
