Human beings are emotional beings. And a lot is taught to us about emotions and feelings from the very young age. And we can not deny that our upbringing has a lot to play with our emotional quotient and how we actually deal with emotions. Many emotions and feelings like anger, hatred, jealousy etc are termed as bad or negative, though they are as natural as the others so called good emotions. We develop a prejudice for them unconsciously. We try hard to hide them or not acknowledge them. We know it very well that any emotion is natural and acknowledging it is very important. Our emotional maturity is in the fact that we acknowledge it, accept it and then try to control it in a healthy way. But many due to their upbringing and social conditioning try to not acknowledge it, keep bottling it up untill there is an outburst at one point due to some trigger. And most adults feel vulnerable and have a feeling of guilt and shame after such episodes of outburst. It is very natural and most of us would be in a situation where we could not control and had an outburst.
