Having kids with mental health issues

What advice would parents give to other parents who have kids with mental health issues? Do you try to be there with a listening ear? Provide resources, either locally or virtually that can help? Do you try to schedule play dates in hopes that having another kid who can sympathize would help?
While I don't have kids, those are things I would do.

I’m not a parent, so I can’t speak from that perspective, but I can certainly talk from a child’s perspective. Growing up with mental health struggles can feel isolating, especially if adults don’t take it seriously. Supportive environments, open conversations, and early intervention can make a huge difference in a child’s well-being.

I have worked with lots of families with children who have mental health issues. It is difficult for all parties involved but an empathetic approach generally helps. Each child is different and so are the parents , level of acceptibility and understanding hence, intervention is usually customized.

As a parent, I would always a outlet for my kids to vent their frustration. That would certainly help any child that is going through mental health issues. Knowing that a parent feels the same pain you feel is a good step that would help a child overcome mental health issues.
