Hello to the Is It Just Me community from Faith!

I've joined this community as my own mental health struggles have played a massive part in my life over the last 10 years or so - before this time, I'd never experienced mental health issues whatsoever in my life, and if I'm completely honest, feel like I had a very negative attitude towards people who had (why can't they just get over it?) for example, which I feel terrible about but also much more understanding now that I'm older and have experienced issues myself.

My main issue is with PTSD that I acquired after being quite severely injured around 10 years ago, but I've also faced moderate depression and probably an anxiety disorder too, so I do sympathise completely with those suffering with any kind of mental ill-health and would love to be a supportive influence and hopefully get some peer-support from those here at the community already when I need it myself.

I joined this community because I want to connect with others who are facing similar challenges so we can support each other through the tough times.

I have been managing for about 25 years now. It often seems like just when things start to improve, something happens to set you back again. Hopefully, this community can be a source of support for me during those times.

PTSD, depression, and anxiety can be incredibly challenging, but you’re not alone. There are so many understanding and compassionate people here who will be more than happy to walk this path with you. Your empathy and insight—especially having experienced both sides of mental health struggles—will no doubt be valuable to others who may be feeling lost or misunderstood.

I never have had any serious mental health issues but as a child I lived with a man who battled acute depression and now with a woman who has serious anxiety issue.Yeah, mental health is certainly difficult battle but to live with people battling mental health is also not very easy.
