In your opinion, what steps can society take to better support individuals dealing with impulse control or addiction disorders, and how can awareness and understanding be improved?

Society isn’t a single entity; it’s a mix of people with varying attitudes, so relying on it for help isn’t always effective. Instead, individuals can seek therapy, build self-awareness, practice mindfulness, and join support groups. Strong personal relationships, structured routines, and self-imposed digital limits can also improve impulse control.

Society can play a significant role by offering more understanding and support for those dealing with impulse control disorders. This can include promoting awareness, reducing stigma, and providing access to therapy and mental health resources. Support networks, whether through family, friends, or community groups, can also help by being patient and encouraging positive behavior changes. Education on impulse control strategies and self-regulation techniques, like mindfulness or cognitive-behavioral therapy, can be effective tools.
