Mania is very common in Bipolar Disorder. Mania is a mental condition where a person will go into an extreme period of mood swings and high energy levels. Well, mood swings is common in all people and people also experience high energy levels once in a while, however, what is uncommon in mania is these mood swings and high energy levels can last for weeks, or even months.

If you see most of the following symptoms, it is very likely that the person has mania.

High energy levels, acting weird, or frequent agitation
Extremely self-confident, exaggerated sense of well-being
Sleeping less
Talking too much
Thinking too much
Distracting too much
 
When dealing with someone experiencing mania, stay calm, avoid arguments, and set clear boundaries. You should listen empathetically but not enable risky behavior. Encouraging professional help and ensuring their safety is crucial. Patience and support from loved ones can make a difference.
