I have worked on half a dozen organization and have never been able to build a meaningful friendships with my colleagues. Well, I did get along with my co-workers but was never their friend. I understand if your colleagues become your friends, your workplace will be a nice place, you can even have a peace of mind, there will not work related stress as you will have someone to help you. But it is not always possible to have friends at workplace, sometimes you might even have people who constantly create tension. Sometimes even your friends at work can create tension. Do you keep work and personal life separate, I mean do you stay away from being friends with your co-workers? Has your friendship ever created tension and complicated your job?

I think it's pretty easy to make friends in the workplace, especially if you're paired close to others in a small area. The call center job I worked, I got a long with my co-workers quite easily. In fact I enjoyed talking with some of the people I worked with. Sadly I never kept up with them after the job ended, but I remember talking to a cool Australian dude who was sat next to me my second time I worked there. He was my favorite co-worker, as he was just chill overall.

But yeah, I like to think I make friends with my online work as well, which happens a lot easier.

I have made friends at workplace but what I feel frendship and profession can not be done together. People cannot be your true friends at work somewhere they are going to prefer work than friendship once they have to choose from any one.
