If you found out you're HIV positive...?

I believe that it's only HIV that's the one viral disease that's yet to have any permanent cure. There are drugs that can help keep you alive for as long as you're supposed to but it's never going to cure you of the viral infection.

In a situation whereby you found out that you're HIV positive, how would you react to it? Do you think it's something that's capable of leaving you depressed for the rest of your life?

That would be such a boomer, like for real. I would rather desire to have any kind of cancer than being HIV positive. It shines bad light upon me for I am looking like somebody who has reckless sex with many women without protection. Since it is transmitable, people would avoid me which is the worst thing. As I said, better have cancer and die with dignity than live life avoided by others because they fear you.

It is never easy to come to terms with reality for those who discover that they were HIV positive from the start. Some will want to start spreading the disease while others will definitely contemplate suicide. So, knowing that one is HIV positive can be a depressing situation as far as I am concerned, and that is why they were always asked to see the psychologist.

I am certain that I would fall into depression if I get to hear that I am hiv positive. It is not a life sentence but it would mean that I am condemned to a life of constant medication which is not what I love. I am certain I would cry for weeks after the diagnosis.

I would feel like the worst person that has ever lived if I find out I am hiv positive. I would keep blaming myself for allowing myself to get HIV. I don't know how long it would take me to be able to open up about that to someone.
