Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, or PTSD, is a result of painful and traumatic situations like being diagnosed with serious health condition, long term physical or mental abuse, including sexual abuse, sudden sexual or physical assaults, serious accidents, losing loved ones, loss of child, abortion, etc.

So, the question is does post traumatic stress go away? Do you have to love with this all your remaining life.

Well, PTSD does not last long, and might even go away without treatment. Let say someone is going through PTSD after losing a child, but when the person has another child, there will not be any traumatic experience. However, some times PTSD can last for many years, but eventually with passing time they will feel better.

PTSD can be temporary or long-term, depending on factors like trauma severity, support systems, and treatment. Some recover within months, while others experience lifelong symptoms. With therapy, medication, and coping strategies, many people significantly improve and lead fulfilling lives.
