It won't be wrong to say that we are living in an Era of mental health issues. Some might attribute it to the increase in awareness and people coming out to talk about it in public. That might be true. But the increase in mental and emotional issues is very obvious in world and one can not turn a blind eye to it. Social media addiction, fast paced digital life, gadgets addiction, less social life etc...a long list is there attributing to the current lifestyle and contributing the mental health issues in current times. Share your thoughts and experiences.

A big reason is definitely awareness. In the past there was more of a stigma surrounding mental illness, like people looked down on anyone who had a mental health condition. But it is true that the way the world is now, has a big affect on the mental health crisis this world is going through. I think it's good that we are taking mental health more seriously these days, but I think a lot more needs to be done yet.

That’s true, we are seeing more mental health challenges today, but there is also a greater awareness among people. People are more willing to talk about their struggles openly, which can make it seem like issues are increasing, even as support and understanding improve. However, this just because people have understood there is no shame in talking about mental health issues, and mental health conditions are just like physical diseases and sickness.

Yes, awareness is increasing. More and more people are coming out in open and talking about their mental health struggles. And still, we have a long way to go in creating the awareness and support system in our society. Mental stigma is still there. And very true that we live in a Era where mental health is a serious concern.

Yes, we are living in the era where there is lots of competition everywhere, and that's the reason everyone is stressed, and it's essential to relieve stress. We must adopt a technique to release stress; otherwise, we may suffer with the diseases, and the people who live in stress have to bear the consequences, and that's the reason we see young people getting heart issues. Somewhere we need to change our lifestyle and have to find time for ourselves to keep our body fit and healthy.

@Sanjeev. Competition was always there and problems in life existed since the beginning of human life. We struggled to survive and stay relevant in all the times in our own ways. But yes, recently, people have started glorifying overwork, staying on top, boasting of luxurious lives etc. Priorities of lives changed and got misplaced too. And not to forget the globalization and digitalization has brought a lot of unrealistic expectations, pressure etc in it's own ways. People are becoming slaves of unwanted and unneeded things.

It really feels like everyone’s struggling with one health issue or the other these days 😔. A lot of things are contributory to this. I think social media, job pressure, and many more add huge chunks to it. They actually piled it up. But the good thing is that we are more aware now, but also more overwhelmed at the same time
.

I think more people are open about mental health today because awareness has grown and stigma is slowly decreasing. Social media, education, and public conversations make it easier to share experiences, helping others relate and feel less alone in their struggles.
