Mood swings due to hormones.

Hormones can cause crazy kinds of mood swings. It is more obvious in the lives of women, who experience crazy hormonal fluctuations during different stages of life. Puberty, menopause, pregnancies, post pregnancies and the monthly cyclic mood swings. These mood swings are not to be undermined. It's a way of body's cry for the attention and nurturing that it needs. Just listen to them and take care of them. If ignored for long, they fan flare up into something concerning like depression. We have heard, experienced and read about cases where the ignorance of post Parfums blues can lead to severe depression. Cases of depression come in menopausal stage too.

As a woman, I can say hormonal changes definitely affect moods in noticeable ways. Puberty, pregnancy, post-pregnancy, and menopause all bring unique challenges, and even monthly cycles can shift emotions unexpectedly. Understanding these fluctuations and practicing self-care helps, but it’s still a rollercoaster. Support from friends and family makes managing these changes much easier.

@Shree . I totally agree there. And now in my menopausal age, I have been through all these for few decades now. It never gets easier or better. Awareness and self care is important. Even with a healthy, natural cycles and changes, things can be challenging. It gets worse if you have some extra issues or conditions. That can make things more challenging and cause mental health issues. Seeking support both at personal level and professional level might be needed in such situations.
