The Act of Kindness

Various studies suggest that acts of kindness release the same chemicals as falling in love. When you are in love with someone, dopamine, oxytocin and serotonin will be released, and when you are kind to people the same hormones will be released. When you are felling low and depressed, instead of becoming secluded and keeping inside yourself and turning away from the world do some act of kindness, helping your spouse or mother in the kitchen, donating money to the homeless people, giving food to a beggar. Kindness heals.

How kind are you to the people, how often do you help people? Have you personally experienced something better after you helped someone?

I am always kind and respectful towards people, even if I don't know them personally. I just try to treat people how they want to be treated, and I expect to be treated the same. I have donated money to certain causes, but haven't donated a ton. I like to hold doors for anyone behind me. I like to say thank you and good day whenever I go to a store and buy something. I think being kind goes a long way.

Small gestures can brighten someone’s day and improve your own wellbeing. I practice kindness in ny life. I buy from street sellers, I donate to charity, I sometimes spend a day in old age homes..What’s the most memorable act of kindness you’ve experienced or offered recently? How did it affect you emotionally?

There is this satisfaction and joy that people get when they do some acts of kindness. It gets to the peak of when that act of kindness solves a problem for someone. I strongly subscribe to doing kind gestures to people when you are depressed. It helps to break free from depression faster.

Hmm..I am always kind to the people and I am always ready to help people whom I know want genuine help. Yes, i feel sort of hapiness and satisfaction when I help and being kind to the people.

I try to be kind whenever I can, whether it’s offering support to friends or helping strangers. I’ve noticed that simple acts—like listening to someone who’s struggling or donating to those in need—genuinely uplift my mood. It’s almost like an emotional reset, reminding me how connected we all are. Every time I help someone, I feel lighter, calmer, and more grateful for life’s small blessings.

Kindness is underrated. You never know who’s fighting silent battles. One day I helped a woman carry her market load to the bus stop, and her smile just made my day. It’s not even about money sometimes, just small gestures go a long way. If everybody can show small kindness daily, the world will be a better place. Life is already hard enough, there is no need to add any stress on top.
