When you have a time when your mood seems to be quite down, it can sometimes be difficult to find something that can lift your mood which can then become frustrating and affect your mood even more. In most cases, you can try different things until you finally find what helps lift your mood but it can take a while sometimes to work that out, especially if your mood is in a bad place.

What have you found that you turn to when you most need it when your mood is down that helps lift your mood?

For me, it's gaming and listening to music. Just being able to shut off in a video game with music playing always helps lift my mood.

I'd probably either try and take a nap or distract myself with my hobbies to the best of my ability.

I prefer to eat candies or buy some pizza slice. Food is a great motivator for me and it is understandable because food produces some good chemicals in brain that make you feel better. Also, taking a walk is a good thing (physical activity) even tough you dislike it.

I will play music. Music helps to calm me down and lift my spirit. It's a good therapy whenever I'm feeling down. If my mood is sour, music helps to fix it up for me. I can never do without music.

it should be very good movies. Yes I like Nollywood movies a lot. I just need one with great story line and I would have done well that moment

Music! The right song can shift everything, calm me down, hype me up, or just make me feel understood. Sometimes I also take a walk, write out my thoughts, or talk to someone I trust. But music always hits first and deepest.

I also listen to music! Whenever I am down, I put on my favorite playlist or read books. It helps uplift me.

Music and games are the activities that elevate my mood. The moment I am down, I begin to play my favourite video games. It transports me away from stress.

When my mood is down, I usually turn to music, walking outside, or journaling. Those things help me process my feelings and shift my focus. Sometimes, talking to a trusted friend really helps too.
