I know that a lot people suffering with Schizophrenia often hear voices and may even see hallucinations. I want to talk specifically about the hallucinations that they may see. Do you think it's often that they see hallucinations? I think hearing voices is one thing, but to see hallucinations has to be a very scary situation. For those of you who do have Schizophrenia what have you witnessed? Do you also hallucinate other sounds and even smell? I heard some people hallucinate smell and other feelings.

Visual hallucinations in schizophrenia do occur, though auditory ones are more common. Some individuals also experience tactile, olfactory, or gustatory hallucinations—feeling touches, smelling odors, or tasting things that aren’t real. These experiences can be frightening and confusing, often intensifying anxiety or paranoia, making treatment and support crucial for managing symptoms effectively.

I read that schizophrenics do not hear voices alone, there are those who see images or shadows, or even experience certain things that do not even exists. It very frightening at one point. I cannot think of what a mess it would cause when you do not know what is real and what is not. That is why adequate treatment and support is so important.
