What Makes You Feel Relaxed: Video Games or Movies

When it comes to what you normally make use of if you are in need for relaxation, do you play video games or do you watch movies?

Personally, I prefer watching movies because playing video games comes with added stress for me as well.

In context of the content, I feel that movies are one time watch, on the other hand we have a lot of things to explore in the games. And also most of our time goes really good if we play the games. Overall my video game experience is good.

When I am very tired, I like watching movies because I can lie on the couch and watch movies all the while munching snacks. However, when I am bored, I like playing games so that my mind and body, both are occupied.

Whether I choose a game to play or a move to watch depends on my mental state and physical state. Sometimes I choose games, and sometimes I choose movies. By the way, sleeping makes me more relaxed compared to gaming or watching movies.

When I am too lazy to do anything, I pick a drink and relax with a nice feel-good movie. When I feel active but I don't have anything to do, I get engaged with shooting games.

Video games are more calming for me because they are more free. I can do so much more in a video game than in a movie. I like the interactive part of games.

I understand that playing video games can come with stress for some people, but it is never the same thing for me. I enjoy playing video games as it helps me to calm my nerves whenever I am pretty stressed out after the day's activities.

You will have to use some efforts while playing game, however, while watching you can just lie on the bed or a sofa. Therefore, I find movies more relaxing.

Depends. If I am by myself, nothing beats playing Video Games because atleast then you have the choice of multiplayer so you don't feel completely left out. If I am with someone, watching a movie can be a social thing to do.

If I can get a very good immersive game to play, it really helps me to calm my nerves. Movies can also help but playing a good game with the challenge of defeating the AI really takes my mind off every worries. That's my relief when it gets really tough mentally.

same here I have always known to relax with movies. So I do spend my time always to watching videos when I wants to relax

Probably movies. Or better yet, YouTube videos I watch on the TV. Never been a big gamer, but I do love playing Wheel of Fortune online. That’s about it, though.
YouTube videos can teach you a lot, and I love to learn. Learning itself can keep the mind occupied. A bored, empty mind is a dangerous mind.

Immersing myself in one of my favorite video games helps me more than watching movies. I'm a gamer and I do love movies too, but games are my favorite media. As long as it's not a stressful game, I tend to play games I'm familiar with when I'm having a rough day.

I also prefer watching movies. They help me unwind and escape reality without the pressure that gaming often brings.
