I'm not too fond of social gatherings unless it's with close family or close friends. If it's a social event involving people I don't know, I usually have more trouble with that. Anyway, if I do take part in a social event, my way of recharging is relaxing, maybe taking a break, go see a movie, play some video games, etc.
I think social burnout can be misunderstood in some ways, because I know there are people out there who are judgmental towards people who get burnt out from having a social life. Some of us just can't stand being that social, and that's okay. I think people are starting to accept that burnout is a real thing, even with mental health, so it's being taken more seriously these days.
