Do new roles make you anxious?

We always hope to assume new roles in life. Moving from one stage of life to another,  getting promoted at work and earning a better salary. Do you feel new roles always make you feel anxious about whether you are going to do fine, or do you have that relaxing mindset that you can do it?

When it is a role that I don't know much about, I always become anxious because I don't know what to expect. The day I was taken on a new job, I was also very anxious. I was scared of how the other staff would react towards me, and how I would be able to deliver my job. But with a warm environment and a little bit of experience, everything is eased up.

Yes, new roles make me very anxious, however, I an adaptive so I adapt to the new roles easily and in a few days everything will be normal for me.

Yes new roles tend to make me anxious or worried, i tend to worry about things like what if i mess up, or what if am not able to carry out the new task. This has stopped me several times from actually putting myself out there to try new things. I am gradually working on this bad trait though.

No matter how pro you are, stepping into a new role would always make you anxious. You don't really know what to expect from that role. You are worried whether you would have the same experience in that role as you have read or you would have a different experience.
