Do you ever find yourself living in your head too much due to anxiety and stress?

I like to call it fantasizing about a life I never had or never will have. I'm sure most of us have done this, where we get stuck in our own mind just living in a make believe world of your own creation. Does that make sense? If you're confused, I just mean something like an overactive imagination. I'll think of a life where I was a famous movie director, or living a rich lavish life. And sometimes I will imagine a life lived and see myself in it. It's weird, but I think we all do it to cope with life. And as weird as it sounds, it can be relaxing to just imagine things differently.

What do you guys think?

Yes, I daydream about living in a beautiful condominium in the city with my two dogs, living the best life possible, and not worrying about bills because I can afford everything. LOL. There are delicious restaurants and a grocery store downstairs where I can buy whatever I want. It's nice to fantasize about those things, especially when I'm stressed.

Yes, I do. When I’m stressed, I tend to overthink scenarios and replay conversations in my head. For example, I’ve caught myself worrying about decisions long after they happened.

I just wish the stuff I fantasized came true. Like being rich, having all the stuff I ever wanted and then some. And yeah, I find it can calm me down if I'm stressed. Weird that it would. :)

I do that all too often myself too. I still constantly worry about my decisions from when I was a kid even. Sometimes the thought of that pops into my head.
