I recently found out that whenever I am having a mood swing, there are some books that I'm going to pick up and read which is going to help and work on my mood and make it to come back to something normal.

I normally pick up adventure and some romantic books. Once I start reading them, my mood is going to be retrace back to being normal again.

Do you read books to work on your mood?

It does help but I prefer to watch a movie especially on days I'm very bored. watching a nice movie can actually changed my mood.

Yes, absolutely. Reading takes me out of my own head and into another world. It helps me forget whatever’s weighing me down, even for a little while. Whether it’s something inspiring, funny, or just beautifully written, books have a quiet way of healing my mood.

Sure! Reading triggers moods. When I'm completely stressed, my hands fall on books and most times, it's a fiction novel. It does feel like I've traveled somewhere else for some time and it becomes easier to brush aside all the worries for a while.

Reading a book once a mood swing could help fight a recent mood that could be depressive. When I feel something is not good, I tune in to my favorite music and eat ice cream. Just divert your bad mood to a happy mood.

According to the study, reading often offsets stress levels and raises feelings higher by distracting from stress pain and also promoting relaxation.

Reading books really helps me shift my mood. Whether it’s escaping into fiction, finding inspiration in self-help, or learning something new, books calm my mind and bring a fresh perspective.
