Financial stress can significantly impact millennials' mental health by causing anxiety, depression, and burnout. Constant worry about student debt, job insecurity, and living costs can lead to feelings of inadequacy, helplessness, and a negative impact on self-esteem and overall well-being.

Rising costs and stagnant wages are stressful. Financial literacy is crucial, but support systems matter too. Millennials need better wages, guidance, and mental health resources to navigate these challenges and secure a stable future.

Financial stress can affect millennials mental health is a lot of ways. Things were much easier to come by generations ago so we have this pressure to keep up the lifestyle ex: Owning a house before starting a family, being financially stable before getting married etc. However, in this day in age it's VERY difficult for people to be able to afford any kind of housing due to the rising cost of living. It's also difficult to be financially stable when we are getting taxed and potentially teriffed. Back in the day you could survive solely on one person's paycheck now that's almost impossible.

The expectation that people have for millennials is just not possible when everything is so expensive and work is so scarce. Yes, I agree we can budget better, and we can have better long-time goals but there is only so much we can do with the money that we have. In Canada there is a crisis because of how expensive the cost of living is and there are so many homeless because it is so expensive and difficult to pay your bills. This will obviously have huge effects on the mental health of society.
