A lack of love, or feeling unloved, can absolutely contribute to depression. While it is not the sole cause, it is a significant factor for many. Humans are social creatures, and strong social connections, including feeling loved and accepted, are crucial for mental well-being. The absence of these connections can lead to feelings of loneliness, isolation, and low self-worth, all of which are common symptoms of depression.

Yes, a lack of love and emotional connection can be a contributing factor to depression. Humans naturally seek affection, support, and belonging. When these needs go unmet, especially over time, it can lead to feelings of loneliness, worthlessness, and eventually depression.

People can be dumped by romantic partners, but that's not the only kind of dumping. In fact, some are disowned by families etc. and that contributes to major depression.

Indeed is not only love from the opposite sex that the person longs, but also love from the family, which matters most. Absence of this from those people close to him or her can create a malicious depression.

Everyone feels good when they know there is someone out there that cares for them and they can count on. A person approaches life with fear when they can't access love. And it would surely affect their self confidence.

Certainly, one can feel it once you are unloved by your family. It is crucial if you experience this. Your mind works differently, searching for answers to your quest. It is truly hard, but you can turn to your nice friends.

Yes lack of love can definitely cause one to fall into depression if care is not taken at the end of the day. Every human out there wants to be love weather they admit it or not.
