Is Gen Z Apathetic or Just Disillusioned with Realism?

Many say Gen Z is apathetic, but is it disinterest or exhaustion? With constant exposure to crises like climate change, economic instability, and political turmoil, some disengage as a coping mechanism. Others turn to humor, activism, or escapism. Does Gen Z reject realism, or are they just redefining what it means to engage with the world? How do you personally process overwhelming realities?

People in the Gen Z era place premium on pragmatism. They don't deny realism as so rightly put. They just want things to be resolved practically and possibly x quickly too. They don't have the time for ideals that are lofty.

Gen Z's perceived apathy may be a mask for disillusionment with the harsh realities of the world. Growing up with climate change, social inequality, and economic uncertainty, they may feel overwhelmed and powerless, leading to a sense of detachment and disengagement.

You would have to agree with me that budding as individuals in the times of the Gen Z is a tough call. When you factor in issues like climate change, terrorism etc, they have to find coping mechanisms. And that is why it seems like they are uninterested.
