My friend works a job that sees him working long hours, often into the night hours. He often has to stay overtime to fix things, and it's weighing on him drastically. I've asked him many times, why put up with this type of work if it's causing you burnout? I know we need work, but I think sometimes it's worth it to find other work instead of sticking to something that drains you physically and mentally.
Would you guys work a job that caused you burnout? This guy doesn't do anything but work, sleep, eat, work, and rinse and repeat. I feel bad for the guy, because he puts up with so much, and yet the job he works at doesn't respect him back for how hard he works. Have you ever dealt with work that caused burnout? How did you get out of it? Did you find a better job after?
