A couple of people in my extended family suffered with Alzheimer's for many years before they eventually died. Alzheimer's is a very common issue in elderly people. If you have elderly family members, you should watch for the early signs, so that you know what to do.

Alzheimer's begin with losing things and experiencing difficulty even with daily tasks. Some other early signs are frequent mood changes, lapse in judgement, trouble in planning and problem solving, and finally memory loss.

Do you have anyone showing these signs, do you have a family member suffering from Alzheimer's?

I don’t have family members, but I understand how painful it can be to watch loved ones struggle with Alzheimer’s. Early detection matters greatly. Support, patience, memory exercises, and medical guidance can help manage symptoms and slow decline, offering comfort and stability to both patients and caregivers.

I saw it with my grandpa. It was so sad seeing him forget our names one by one. We used to sit with him, tell old stories, and play radio just to keep his brain active. I read somewhere that exercise and fruits help too, but sometimes it’s just nature doing its thing. Old age is not easy, but love and patience go a long way.

Right now, my mother in law who is 84 is showing it. And trust me, it is not easy to see someone in fami going through the suffering. We need a lot of patience. Patience, love and kindness are the tools to handle it. One has to understand that it is not something that can be cured or fixed. One has to live with it. Love, support and care from others around can make it manageable
