The Debate on Medication for Mental Health

Some people rely on therapy alone, others on medication. Do you think mental health drugs help long-term, or only mask deeper issues?

Meds don’t fix you. They help you for the time being, that’s all. Even with medication you’d still have bad days, but might not be as pronounced as before. The is to maintain steadiness. It doesn't perform magic. It’s just for maintenance.

I think mental health medication can help long-term when used alongside therapy and lifestyle changes. They stabilize symptoms and create space for reflection and healing. Alone, they might mask deeper issues, but combined with support, they can be a crucial tool in managing mental health effectively.
