Things that matter...

There is a growing pressure on people especially youths on what matters to them. You see people pushing to use the latest phones, wear the best clothes and all that. Does it matter and contribute to our development?

I think this pressure can be a double-edged sword. On one hand, wanting the latest phone or trendy clothes can motivate people to work harder and improve their lifestyle. But on the other, it can create unnecessary stress, distract from real personal growth, and lead to comparing ourselves too much with others. True development comes from skills, mindset, and meaningful experiences, not just material things.

The way i see it now, a lot of youths and young adults have completely lost sight on what is most important. Due to peer pressure they tend to chase after things that are not needed more than the things they actually need.

As far as I concerned, what truly matters for me is rasing a family that is comfortable in every regards. And being a positive impact to people around me. I don't chase clout or excessive wealth. Wealth must always touch another person for me.

That’s a thoughtful point. I feel this pressure to keep up with the latest phones, fashion, and trends can sometimes distract us from focusing on what truly matters, our skills, values, and personal growth. While having nice things can boost confidence or social status, they don’t directly contribute to long-term development. Real growth often comes from learning, experiences, and meaningful connections, not just material possessions.
