What I Feel is the Core Reason for Depression

Ultimately, you can throw medicine at depression, but the root problem is what's causing it.  For instance, if someone's mother had died, then you'd have to say that the mother dying is the problem and the medicine or other treatment is trying to patch stuff up.    Anyway, have people really tried to treat the core problem and if that's the case, then why would they need medicine for depression?

Well, let's look at relationships, if someone is depressed cause their spouse cheated and left them with no possible way of reconciliation, then medicine will help, but ultimately the depressed person has to get over it and move on and, in that case, medicine wouldn't be needed after the last stage.

Every depression has a life situation that triggers it. And unless that situation is managed properly, the person would not get true healing. Medicine would just help to manage the depression from getting deeper. True healing from depression comes from the mind itself.

Yes some depression needs us tackling the problem from the root of it. If you know that your problem is emotional then it is good to seek support and grow above it from there

Medicine helps manage symptoms, but healing requires addressing the root cause and emotional recovery over time.

Every person that suffers depression has a personal challenge or situation that is causing them to be depressed. Some would move on with time. While some would need a solution to that challenge. Some just need support to get over it. I don't believe in meds for depression except it is to enable the person sleep.
