I think that depends on the person. I think sometimes it's good to get started with therapy and support as soon as you can. Otherwise things fester and waiting too long could have an adverse affect on your life. No one should feel shame or regret for wanting to seek help. If you need it, there is so much support out there, please take it if you can.
There is this stigma to seeking help, and that shouldn't even be a thing. People should want to seek help sometimes, I know I wish I have in the past. But I feel waiting to seek out help, only prolongs the issues. Seeking help now, may be what saves you and helps you get through life better.
