Are You Afraid of Failures?

Well, it is not possible to succeed in every walk of life. Failures are a part of our life. Sadly, a lot of people are afraid of failure. They never try anything new because they are afraid of failing. If you never try something new because you have unfounded fear of failure, how are you going to succeed in life? Failure certainly creates mental health issues, but failures also teach you a lot of things.

How willing are you to try something new? When you fail, how easily do you fall into stress, anxiety and depression?

I used to be very afraid of failures and it really made me to stay in a cage so that I don't face them. But right now, I am not afraid of failures. I make provision for failures in every of my plan so that the failure would not surprise me and make me depressed.

The fear of failure has been one of the major things affecting me, over time it has stopped me from trying so many things. Recently i have come to realize that failure is not something you need to be scared of but it is part of life experience.

Yes, I’m afraid of failures, they make me anxious and doubtful at times. But that doesn’t mean I don’t attempt things. I still try, because I’ve learned that growth comes through trying, failing, and learning, not by standing still in fear.

@Nomad - Humans are afraid of failures. It is our nature. However, the fact of the matter remains that we have to define "failure". Many people define "failure" in a specific manner. When we are student, we "fail" when we do not pass our exams. In our practical life, we "fail" when we do not get a job. So, the definition of "failure" may be different to different people in a philosophical manner.

I used to be so scared of failure. But at a point, I had become insulated to failure. I can dare anything because for me failure is an event and not my person. I have come to accept failure as a part of the process of growth.

I don’t fear failure completely but respect it as part of growth. Failures taught me valuable lessons and built resilience. Though they sting, facing them helps me improve and take smarter risks rather than avoiding challenges out of fear.
