How do you overcome depression?

Overcoming depression has indeed been quite a journey for me. One could say that I've learned from professional help, as well as being in the company of good and caring people. Celebrating little successes that have been achieved plays a very important role as well. So, how do you move away from depression?

Generally, a good support team can help you overcome depression, however, others may have to take medication to help them overcome it.

It's not easy to overcome it. It's a struggle for some. It's a tough battle. Medications play a huge part in it though as does therapy.

For me, I overcome depression by not attaching my emotions to so many things. I do what I can do and to my way. It is when people have invested expectations on a thing that they get depressed when it doesn't turn out to favor them. I expect the worst from every situation. And it has helped me to overcome depression.

I have not experienced depression. I always empower my positive mindset. I always pray of course God to guide me and make me strong. Prayer is my strong instrument to sweep away troubles.

I overcome depression by doing meditation, taking a walk in the busy street and morning exercise. These three type of mental exerise keep the mind strong and help to expand the consciousness.

People around the subject needs to be very supportive and frequently encourage them to take medication and use alternative healing.

The best way to overcome depression is to seek medication. Seeking therapy is also one id the best ways to deal with depression. In many cases, you may need to combine therapy with medication. You may need to meditate daily and you can also join support groups as well. This can greatly help you. Counselling can also be a great addition as well.

It depends on what is depressing you, the level of improvement and difficulty can be different, so the main thing is consistency and discipline, in addition to constantly seeking a solution to what is depressing you, but believe me, all depression can be overcome.

Thanks for sharing this, really appreciate how open and honest you are. I can relate to what you said about professional help and having supportive people around. That made a huge difference for me too.

For me, moving away from depression hasn’t been one big breakthrough, but more like a lot of small changes over time. Stuff like getting enough sleep, setting tiny daily goals, and even just getting outside for a bit helped more than I expected. Some days are still tough, but like you said, celebrating the small wins really adds up.

You need to understand the root cause of depression and this is one of the fundamental aspects of getting your depression treated. The fact of the matter remains that many people never understand the underlying conditions of depression and they try to get addiction treated. This is just like travelling in the wrong direction. You need the right kind of roadmap if you want to head towards the right direction.
